I love teaching, but I'm not just a teacher. I love learning, but I'm not just a student. I'm a builder and opportunist at heart -I teach what I've learned from actually getting my hands dirty and creating things in business.
I've spent lots of time in higher ed (I have a PhD and over two decades of experience as a professor), but I'm also an opportunistic business person, which is why I currently own 17 different companies.
My academic foundation complements my entrepreneurial journey, which spans over 20 companies, six industries, and even building the largest golden doodle breeder in the USA
Real estate has also been a significant part of my story, with more than 40 properties that each brought unique challenges and lessons.
My philosophy centers on building quickly, learning as I go, and delegating whenever possible—embracing a "fail fast" approach. If I have an idea, I start by trying it, then analyze it later. The best way to learn is by doing.
I’m driven by curiosity and the desire to connect seemingly unrelated ideas, especially within the fields of theology, economics, and finance.
For me, every venture, whether a business book or a theology podcast, is an opportunity to deepen my understanding of how God designed us to think and manage resources.
I'm still learning new things every day! Sometimes it's from one of my companies, sometimes it's from books, sometimes it's from my students, sometimes it's from scripture.
